Always nice to have the work of Station 1 recognized.

MLA West Vancouver Capilano, Lynne Block, was lucky enough to meet three of our best! Thank you Lynne for sharing our story and that of RCM•SAR with the Legislative Assembly.

"Proud to rise in the House to recognize the incredible volunteers of Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, Station 1 in West Vancouver and beyond. With 31 stations and more than 950 volunteers across BC, the RCMSAR has completed over 450 missions last year and gave 70,000+ hours of service, entirely volunteer-based. Their courage, professionalism, and selflessness save lives on our waters every single day. It was an honour to meet local volunteers Gerard McKenzie, Rod Haymond, and David Pfeil and to thank them personally for the work they do to keep our community safe. On behalf of West Vancouver–Capilano, thank you to all who serve. We are deeply grateful."
